Who we are
About Rhythm & Hunt
An Australian adventure and discovery community. We bring people together through treasure hunts, gold prospecting, gem fossicking, camping, practical outdoor skills, environmental care and shared experiences.
Where adventure meets community.
Rhythm & Hunt is more than a treasure-hunting community. We are a growing network of people united by curiosity, adventure, and a respect for the world around us.
Our members come from all walks of life. Some swing metal detectors. Some search for gemstones and minerals. Others hunt for antique bottles, historical relics, fossils, gold, unique photography opportunities, or simply the thrill of exploring somewhere new. What unites us is the excitement of discovery and the belief that every treasure tells a story.
Whether you're an experienced explorer or someone looking for your first adventure, there's a place for you. After all, the greatest treasures often aren't the things we find. They're the people we meet, the stories we uncover, and the memories we create along the way.
Treasure means something different to everyone
For some, it's gold in a creek bed. For others, it's a sun-bleached bottle hidden beneath a century of soil, a rare crystal waiting to be polished, a handcrafted silver ring, a thriving veggie garden, a restored piece of history, or a simple day spent exploring with friends. We believe treasure is only limited by our own imaginations.
Whether you're a prospector, fossicker, lapidary artist, silversmith, gardener, photographer, upcycler, metal detectorist, collector, landowner, maker, adventurer, or simply someone who loves learning new things, you'll find your people here. Curiosity creates connection, and the greatest treasures are often the ones we create, preserve, and share with others.
Adventure and sustainability belong together
We believe in
- Respecting private property and landowners
- Supporting sustainable and regenerative farming
- Caring for our environment
- Restoring rather than discarding
- Sharing knowledge and skills
- Building strong communities
- Preserving history
- Creating rather than consuming
- Leaving every place better than we found it
Every hunt, every project, every connection is an opportunity to make a positive impact.
How we run things
Eight things we will not trade away
Discovery is the product
We are not selling gear with an adventure attached. The find, the skill and the story are the point.
Adventure belongs to everyone
Different bodies, different roles, same campfire. We tell you the truth about a site and find a way for you to take part.
Members are explorers
Not customers. You get a member number, a passport and a place in the team.
Curiosity is rewarded
Clues, coordinates and hidden corners. Keep your eyes open on this site as well as in the bush.
The campfire comes first
We build the community, then the shop. Never the other way around.
Quality and practicality matter
Kit you would actually carry, in a bucket you would actually reuse.
Leave places better than you found them
Fill your holes, carry out more than you brought in, shut the gates.
Respect dignity
We describe places and requirements honestly, and we never label people by circumstance.
