A little more adventure

Buckey surprises

Your first Buckey is just the beginning. We’re dreaming up little additions with big stories — practical, playful finds worth making a fuss over.

The idea

A Buckey with more stories to tell

The starter kit gives you the essentials. After that, we want to make room for the good stuff: thoughtful extras that earn their place, spark a new adventure, or make a day out a little easier.

Some ideas might be gear for the field. Others might be something accessible or digital for explorers who take the hunt their own way. We’ll share each idea when there’s something real to show you.

Where the trail stands

Starter essentials

The first-kit idea is taking shape: the same useful starting gear across Explorer, Adventurer and Pioneer, with quality stepping up at each level.

Future ideas

We’re sorting through possibilities and checking what’s genuinely useful. Nothing on the ideas bench is a confirmed inclusion yet.

The reveal

When an addition is ready, we’ll give it its own pictures and story in the Field Notes. No mystery item announced before we know it’s right.

On the bench

The Survival Pack

The first idea getting real bench time: a pack of field-ready extras for when the day runs long or the weather turns — shelter from a sudden storm, light after dark, warmth, first aid, and the quiet little problem-solvers that earn their keep.

It’s a proper stash of bits and bobs in the making, not a confirmed list. We’re gathering, testing and tweaking until each piece is genuinely worth carrying. When something makes the cut, it gets its own pictures and story in the Field Notes — no dates, no promises, just the good stuff when it’s actually good.

Follow along in the Field Notes

No ticking clock

A surprise should be worth the wait

These are occasional extras we hope to bring to paid explorers, not a fixed pack, a monthly delivery, or a promise of any particular item. Designs and availability may change while we test ideas. Inclusive Explorer surprises may be accessible or digital; Elite supporter surprises may take a different form from kit gear.

We’ll keep this page current as ideas become real, then share the full story in the Field Notes. For now, choose a membership for what’s already described, not for a surprise that hasn’t been announced.
